Code Ann. § 28-69-301","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this subchapter:\n\n(1) \"Environmental law\" means any federal, state, or local law, rule, regulation, or ordinance relating to protection of the environment or human health;\n\n(2) \"Estate\" means the estate of the decedent if by reference thereto a provision has been made applicable to the executor or executors of a will and means the trust estate if by reference thereto a provision has been made applicable to the trustee or trustees of such an estate;\n\n(3) \"Fiduciary\", and the masculine singular form of the pronoun referring to the fiduciary, means the one (1) or more executors, whether male, female, or corporate, of the estate of a decedent, or the one (1) or more trustees, whether male, female, or corporate, of a testamentary or inter vivos trust estate, whichever in a particular case shall be appropriate; and\n\n(4) \"Hazardous substance\" means any substance defined as hazardous or toxic or otherwise regulated by any environmental law.","path":["AR Code","Title 28","Chapter 69","Subchapter 3"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"f2fc36f7636eea1251a494844d6ac9d73d3d1b67d0282f0bf06a93d648eab8c2","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-28-69-207","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-28-69-302"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
