Code Ann. § 3-5-1101","heading":"Legislative intent and purpose","body":"(a) The legislative intent and purpose of this subchapter is to provide a structure for the business relations between a wholesaler and a supplier of beer. (b) Regulation in this area is considered necessary for the following reasons: (1) To maintain stability and healthy competition in the beer industry in this state; (2) To promote and maintain a sound, stable, and viable three-tier system of distribution of beer to the public; and (3) To promote the public health, safety, and welfare.
