Code Ann. § 4-37-601","heading":"Definitions","body":"In this subchapter:\n\n(1) \"After a merger\" or \"after the merger\" means when a merger under § 4-37-604 becomes effective and afterwards.\n\n(2) \"Before a merger\" or \"before the merger\" means before a merger under § 4-37-604 becomes effective.\n\n(3) \"Continuing protected series\" means a protected series of a surviving company which continues in uninterrupted existence after a merger under § 4-37-604 .\n\n(4) \"Merging company\" means a limited liability company that is party to a merger under § 4-37-604 .\n\n(5) \"Non-surviving company\" means a merging company that does not continue in existence after a merger under § 4-37-604 .\n\n(6) \"Relocated protected series\" means a protected series of a non-surviving company which, after a merger under § 4-37-604 , continues in uninterrupted existence as a protected series of the surviving company.\n\n(7) \"Surviving company\" means a merging company that continues in existence after a merger under § 4-37-604 .","path":["AR Code","Title 4","Chapter 37","Subchapter 6"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"d019e5daf6f48813805fd4db028a6637049b636715c5b76802291b82741e92ed","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-4-37-503","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-4-37-602"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
