Code Ann. § 4-47-905","heading":"Noncomplying name of foreign limited partnership","body":"(a) A foreign limited partnership whose name does not comply with § 4-47-108 may not obtain a certificate of authority until it adopts, for the purpose of transacting business in this State, an alternate name that complies with § 4-47-108 . A foreign limited partnership that adopts an alternate name under this subsection and then obtains a certificate of authority with the name need not comply with § 4-38-112 . After obtaining a certificate of authority with an alternate name, a foreign limited partnership shall transact business in this State under the name unless the foreign limited partnership is authorized under § 4-38-112 to transact business in this State under another name.\n\n(b) If a foreign limited partnership authorized to transact business in this State changes its name to one that does not comply with § 4-47-108 , it may not thereafter transact business in this State until it complies with subsection (a) and obtains an amended certificate of authority.","path":["AR Code","Title 4","Chapter 47","Subchapter 9"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"e76fbe7e2c484795c8fd5a9824293e4809d4c82974034d13bab5c6a9e1c92a1e","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-4-47-904","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-4-47-906"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
