Code Ann. § 4-90-204","heading":"Preventing tampering","body":"A person may not:\n\n(1) Advertise for sale, sell, use, install, or have installed, a device that makes an odometer of a motor vehicle register a mileage different from the mileage the vehicle was driven, as registered by the odometer within the designed tolerance of the manufacturer of the odometer;\n\n(2) Disconnect, reset, alter, or have disconnected, reset, or altered, an odometer of a motor vehicle intending to change the mileage registered by the odometer;\n\n(3) With the intent to defraud, operate a motor vehicle on a public street, road, or highway, if the person knows that the odometer of the vehicle is disconnected or not operating; or\n\n(4) Conspire to violate any provision of this subchapter.","path":["AR Code","Title 4","Chapter 90","Subchapter 2"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"04e93a1a4d8e1102d6e163c22acd4791ad286984608377754c6eeebd0ec940c0","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-4-90-203","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-4-90-205"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
