Code Ann. § 5-27-405","heading":"Determination of age of person","body":"When it becomes necessary for purposes of this subchapter to determine whether a person who participated in sexual conduct was a child under eighteen (18) years of age, the court or jury may make this determination by any of the following methods:\n\n(1) Personal inspection of the person;\n\n(2) Inspection of the photograph, motion picture, or other material that shows the person engaging in the sexual performance;\n\n(3) Oral testimony by a witness to the sexual performance as to the age of the person based on the person's appearance at the time;\n\n(4) Expert medical testimony based on the appearance of the person engaged in the sexual performance; or\n\n(5) Any other method authorized by law.","path":["AR Code","Title 5","Chapter 27","Subchapter 4"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"4679a56fa2be18457bcefc7a78d68ca3d3dd20682525d424639e7afcc8ee304b","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-5-27-404","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-5-27-501"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
