Code Ann. § 6-13-1607","heading":"Retention of historical records and documents","body":"Following the annexations or consolidations under §§ 6-13-1601 - 6-13-1603 effective before December 1, 2004, and before any consolidation, annexation, detachment, approval of a conversion charter, or any other type of reclassification or reorganization of a school district after December 31, 2004, a receiving or resulting school district shall obtain and retain all student and historical records and documents from the affected school district, specifically including, but not limited to:\n\n(1) Student transcripts;\n\n(2) Graduation records;\n\n(3) Minutes and other legal documents of the local board of directors;\n\n(4) Maps or boundary documents;\n\n(5) Sports records, trophies, and awards;\n\n(6) Employee records; and\n\n(7) Financial records.","path":["AR Code","Title 6","Chapter 13","Subchapter 16"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"1444fae8cd86bc45528fd4d84514ba6872ab56192d846ec94fa74ec52004b9f7","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-6-13-1606","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-6-13-1608"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
