Code Ann. § 6-13-1701","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this subchapter:\n\n(1) \"Executive head\" means a superintendent of a public school district or the head of an open-enrollment public charter school;\n\n(2) \"Institution\" means property that is owned and operated by a public school district or an open-enrollment public charter school;\n\n(3) \"Institutional law enforcement officer\" means an individual who is appointed under this subchapter by an executive head to exercise law enforcement authority on the property of an institution;\n\n(4) \"Primary jurisdiction\" means the property over which an institutional law enforcement officer may exercise authority; and\n\n(5) \"Property\" means both real and personal property that is owned by or under the control of an institution, and includes without limitation all highways, streets, alleys, and rights-of-way that are contiguous or adjacent to real and personal property that is owned or controlled by an institution.","path":["AR Code","Title 6","Chapter 13","Subchapter 17"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"4bc9e09eb8bac4aa78224d75d40bcc189fe24e4a858fbec21495913e497903ae","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-6-13-1613","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-6-13-1702"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
