Code Ann. § 6-13-612","heading":"Vacancy - Conviction of felony","body":"(a) When a member of the board of directors of any school district in this state is convicted of a felony, a vacancy shall exist on that board of directors from the date of the final judgment of conviction.\n\n(b) The prosecuting attorney who successfully prosecutes a school district board member for a felony shall immediately notify the remaining members of that board of directors of the fact of the conviction and of the existence of a vacancy on the board of directors of the school district.\n\n(c) A vacancy on a school district board of directors due to the conviction of a felony shall be filled as required under § 6-13-611 .","path":["AR Code","Title 6","Chapter 13","Subchapter 6"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"b7eb462f1ed09003392ddb11f8548b754c6f483708adf8a808fdc91ed13b920b","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-6-13-611","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-6-13-613"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
