Code Ann. § 6-18-209","heading":"Adoption of student attendance policies - Effect of unexcused absences","body":"(a) The board of directors of each school district in this state shall adopt student attendance policies.\n\n(b) Each school district, as a part of its six-year educational plan, shall develop strategies for promoting maximum student attendance, including, but not limited to, the use of alternative classrooms and in-school suspensions in lieu of suspension from school.\n\n(c) A student attendance policy may include unexcused absences as a mandatory basis for denial of promotion or graduation.","path":["AR Code","Title 6","Chapter 18","Subchapter 2"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"3cba235727006742cbf8510bc932c19e36604a081bc3c1a28813bdede7cc2be0","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-6-18-208","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-6-18-210"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
