Code Ann. § 6-24-112","heading":"Gratuities and kickbacks","body":"(a) It is a breach of the ethical standards of this chapter for any person to offer, give, or agree to give any board member, administrator, or employee a gratuity or an offer of employment in connection with any contract or transaction of a public educational entity.\n\n(b) It is a breach of the ethical standards of this chapter for any board member, administrator, or employee to solicit, demand, accept, or agree to accept from another person or entity a gratuity or an offer of employment in connection with any contract or transaction of a public educational entity.\n\n(c) It is a breach of the ethical standards of this chapter for any payment, gratuity, or offer of employment to be made by or on behalf of a person or an entity as an inducement for the award of a contract or transaction with a public educational entity.\n\n(d) The State Board of Education shall issue specific rules regarding educational or work-related travel, conventions, seminars, and other benefits provided by vendors.","path":["AR Code","Title 6","Chapter 24"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"c608c90822c3dbe96eb4be551543f52aa6f4d18ea2914a955dbb41a0999c25c0","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-6-24-111","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-6-24-113"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
