Code Ann. § 6-60-205","heading":"In-state tuition for veterans and military personnel and dependents","body":"Regardless of residence, a state-supported institution of higher education, trade school, or vocational school shall classify a student as in-state, in-county, in-district, local, or resident for the purpose of tuition and fees applicable for all programs of study, including distance learning programs, if the student is a:\n\n(1) Veteran who received an honorable discharge from a period of not less than ninety (90) days of active duty in the United States Armed Forces within three (3) years before the date of enrollment in a program of study;\n\n(2) Dependent of a veteran under subdivision (1) of this section;\n\n(3) Member of the United States Armed Forces;\n\n(4) Spouse of a member of the United States Armed Forces; or\n\n(5) Reserve Officers' Training Corps cadet who has an executed United States Armed Forces service contract.","path":["AR Code","Title 6","Chapter 60","Subchapter 2"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"51ec98c260ff1e1b286efdb2cd2027d9dd819f3ee3a45b44e26a6911f9986b32","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-6-60-204","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-6-60-206"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
