Code Ann. § 7-5-808","heading":"Finding of guilt - Effect","body":"(a) Should it be proved to the satisfaction of the trial judge, in cases instituted under this subchapter, that a successful candidate has been guilty of violating the Political Practices Act or any of the laws regulating general, primary, or special elections, the circuit court shall enter the finding as a part of the judgment, irrespective of the determination of the issues in other suits filed under this subchapter or the verdict of the jury in a criminal prosecution.\n\n(b) The judgment to that effect shall operate to deprive the candidate of the nomination, and the vacancy shall be filled in the manner provided by law.","path":["AR Code","Title 7","Chapter 5","Subchapter 8"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"1aa59eb451dff6e7a659e274edac4f0820ac1b61fb3976b745ed67755a7a4fbd","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-7-5-807","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-7-5-809"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
