Code Ann. § 8-6-2002","heading":"Purpose","body":"The purpose of this subchapter is to protect the public health, safety, and welfare of the state by:\n\n(1) Improving the operational efficiency of the Division of Environmental Quality concerning the resources provided to local governments and other state agencies, boards, and commissions;\n\n(2) Creating the Environmental Compliance Resource Program to be administered by the division to provide resources to local governments and other state agencies, boards, and commissions;\n\n(3) Ensuring that cities, municipalities, counties, regional solid waste management districts, and state agencies, boards, and commissions have sufficient resources;\n\n(4) Authorizing the division to develop, implement, and administer an Environmental Compliance Resource Program; and\n\n(5) Modernizing, simplifying, and clarifying the law related to illegal dumping of solid waste and other similar issues that affect the public health, safety, and welfare.","path":["AR Code","Title 8","Chapter 6","Subchapter 20"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"06a02a5e408ab5cc217a9a1e365c6b4340cf22d587504372a0d899d4bb56f5cf","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-8-6-2001","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-8-6-2003"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
