Code Ann. § 9-8-101","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this subchapter:\n\n(1) \"Child\" means a person under eighteen (18) years of age;\n\n(2) \"Division\" means the Division of Children and Family Services of the Department of Human Services;\n\n(3) \"Investigation\" means the process of obtaining a home study, home report, home assessment, home evaluation, or marital study;\n\n(4) \"Licensed social worker\" means a social worker authorized to perform home studies or supervised visits under the Social Work Licensing Act, § 17-103-101 et seq.;\n\n(5) \"Rules\" means rules promulgated by the division for the purpose of implementing this subchapter pursuant to the Arkansas Administrative Procedure Act, § 25-15-201 et seq.;\n\n(6) \"Study\" means home study, home report, home assessment, home evaluation, or marital study; and\n\n(7) \"Supervision\" means periodic visitation to the home or school or other places for monitoring or observation to determine a child's situation or condition or to regulate or facilitate visitation and may include court appearances to provide testimony on the visitation.","path":["AR Code","Title 9","Chapter 8","Subchapter 1"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"95f381c9e7b953b8c5e40f905a0930324f848f9d12db258b36353712b6e606d2","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-9-6-112","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-9-8-102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
