A school district may apply to the state board of education for a capital transportation adjustment for the purchase of a transportation vehicle if the district meets all of the following requirements:\n\n1. Has a student count of fewer than six hundred in kindergarten programs and grades one through twelve.\n\n2. Transports as eligible students at least one-third of the total student count of the school district.\n\n3. Has an approved daily route mileage per eligible student transported of more than 1.0, computed as prescribed in section 15-945, subsection A, paragraph 4.\n\nB. If a school district receives a capital transportation adjustment as provided in this section, district additional assistance for that district shall be equal to district additional assistance determined as prescribed in section 15-961 plus any additional amount approved by the state board of education.\n\nC. The state board of education may grant a capital transportation adjustment to a school district which meets the qualifications prescribed in subsection A of this section, except that the total amount of all additional amounts approved as capital transportation adjustments for all school districts for a fiscal year shall not exceed twenty per cent of the total amount which a county may budget for that fiscal year in all small district service program funds as provided in section 15-365, subsection F.","path":["Title 15 Education"],"source_url":"https://www.azleg.gov/ars/15/00963.htm","current_through":"57th Legislature, 2nd Regular Session (effective 2027-01-01); mirror section count 24991","vintage":"2026-09-15","retrieved_at":"2026-10-26T05:51:13Z","sha256":"c1504fb455eef2f9471c371f3753977affef7feb23481f4ff810eb0b9ef898cf","source_id":"us-az","stale":false,"prev":"us-az/a.r.s.-15-962.01","next":"us-az/a.r.s.-15-964"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
