A tribunal of this state shall apply articles 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of this chapter and, as applicable, article 7 of this chapter to a support proceeding that involves any of the following:\n\n1. A foreign support order.\n\n2. A foreign tribunal.\n\n3. An obligee, an obligor or a child residing in a foreign country.\n\nB. A tribunal of this state that is requested to recognize and enforce a support order on the basis of comity may apply the procedural and substantive provisions of articles 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of this chapter.\n\nC. Article 7 of this chapter applies only to a support proceeding under the convention.
