The owner of an animal which has been treated with an antibiotic which has a specific withdrawal period shall not market the animal for slaughter or through a livestock auction unless either:\n\n1. The stated withdrawal period has expired.\n\n2. The animal is identified and the restrictions disclosed to all potential buyers.\n\nB. A producer who has been notified and is currently under United States department of agriculture restrictions for residue violations shall disclose that fact and identify animals he markets. Such a producer may certify that the animal has undergone the prescribed withdrawal period required for slaughter.\n\nC. The identification prescribed by subsections A and B shall accompany the animal for at least thirty days or until it is slaughtered.\n\nD. The division shall determine the method for identifying animals as required by this section.\n\nE.
