Practices veterinary medicine or surgery under an assumed name.\n\n2. Falsely impersonates another practitioner.\n\n3. Fraudulently obtains a veterinary medical diploma, license or record of registration.\n\n4. Practices veterinary medicine or surgery without a license and registration.\n\n5. Unlawfully assumes or advertises a veterinary title conveying the impression that the person is a lawful practitioner.\n\n6. Knowingly violates any other provision of this chapter.\n\nB. This chapter does not prohibit any of the following:\n\n1. A person from practicing veterinary medicine or any of its branches in partnership with another practitioner, or under a partnership or firm name, if the partnership or firm is clearly identified as that of a practicing veterinarian, and if all members of the partnership or firm are licensed to practice veterinary medicine by the board.\n\n2. A veterinary student from performing acts of health care or prescribed veterinary procedures as a part of the student's educational experience if both of the following apply:\n\n(a) The acts are assigned by a licensed veterinarian or a licensed veterinary faculty member who is responsible for the animal's care.\n\n(b) The student works under the direct supervision of a licensed veterinarian or a licensed veterinary faculty member.\n\n3. A licensed veterinary faculty member from performing the licensed veterinary faculty member's regular clinical functions, from giving lectures, instructions or demonstrations or from practicing veterinary medicine as a veterinary faculty member in connection with continuing education courses or seminars to licensed veterinarians, certified veterinary technicians, veterinary students or veterinary technician students.","path":["Title 32 Professions and Occupations"],"source_url":"https://www.azleg.gov/ars/32/02238.htm","current_through":"2026-09-04","vintage":"2026-08-09","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:49:56Z","sha256":"cdf34c0de4a5e3e7fb84fc012a35aa2f99f689f38af12cec8c9c52b161c73dd8","source_id":"us-az","stale":true,"prev":"us-az/a.r.s.-32-2237","next":"us-az/a.r.s.-32-2239"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
