The state highway engineer shall approve a uniform pattern for use in the designation of state motor vehicles. A state agency or department may use a distinctive insignia, other than the uniform pattern, on approval of the insignia by the governor.\n\nB. The governing body of each political subdivision shall approve a uniform pattern for use in designating the political subdivision motor vehicles.\n\nC.
