{"data":{"id":"us-az/a.r.s.-38-870","jurisdiction":"us-az","citation":"A.R.S. § 38-870","heading":"Definitions","body":"In this article, unless the context otherwise requires:\n\n1. \"Assets\" means the accumulated resources of the disability program.\n\n2. \"Board\" means the board of trustees established by section 38-848.\n\n3. \"Compensation\":\n\n(a) For a participant as defined in section 38-865, paragraph 7, subdivision (a), item (i), has the same meaning prescribed in section 38-842.\n\n(b) For a participant as defined in section 38-865, paragraph 7, subdivision (b), means salary as defined in section 38-881.\n\n4. \"Disability program\" or \"program\" means the public safety personnel defined contribution retirement plan disability program established by this article.\n\n5. \"Local board\" has the same meaning prescribed in section 38-842 or 38-881, as applicable.\n\n6. \"Participant\" means a participant who is in the public safety personnel defined contribution retirement plan and who is a participant as defined in section 38-865, paragraph 7, subdivision (a), item (i) or subdivision (b).\n\n7. \"Pensionable compensation\" has the same meaning prescribed in section 38-865.","path":["Title 38 Public Officers and Employees"],"source_url":"https://www.azleg.gov/ars/38/00870.htm","current_through":"2026-09-04","vintage":"2026-08-09","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:49:56Z","sha256":"8a8e32b972e48c78610e250df5b193958721398e5e348fa444469d3fe398e032","source_id":"us-az","stale":true,"prev":"us-az/a.r.s.-38-869","next":"us-az/a.r.s.-38-870.01"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
