{"data":{"id":"us-az/a.r.s.-42-5401","jurisdiction":"us-az","citation":"A.R.S. § 42-5401","heading":"Definitions","body":"In this article, unless the context otherwise requires:\n\n1. \"Consumer\" means a person who purchases prepaid wireless telecommunications service in a retail sale of prepaid wireless telecommunications service.\n\n2. \"Prepaid wireless telecommunications service\" means a commercial mobile radio service, as defined by 47 Code of Federal Regulations section 20.3, as amended, that allows a caller to dial 911 to access the 911 system under a service that is paid for in advance and that is sold in predetermined units or dollars of which the number declines with use in a known amount.\n\n3. \"Prepaid wireless telecommunications service provider\" means a person that provides prepaid wireless telecommunications service pursuant to a license that is issued by the federal communications commission.\n\n4. \"Retail sale of prepaid wireless telecommunications service\" means a sale of prepaid wireless telecommunications service by a seller for any purpose other than resale.\n\n5. \"Seller\" means a person who sells prepaid wireless telecommunications service to another person.\n\n6. \"Wireless services\" means a commercial mobile service, as defined by 47 Code of Federal Regulations section 20.3, as amended.","path":["Title 42 Taxation"],"source_url":"https://www.azleg.gov/ars/42/05401.htm","current_through":"2026-09-04","vintage":"2026-08-09","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:49:56Z","sha256":"b5957c6ee151f5e60075a1b845d0a54eaa9a627c0a46ace82582e59696ff3c55","source_id":"us-az","stale":true,"prev":"us-az/a.r.s.-42-5354","next":"us-az/a.r.s.-42-5402"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
