Each vehicle that is owned by the United States government and that is domiciled in this state for more than ninety consecutive days and each vehicle that is owned by a state or political subdivision of this state shall comply with section 49-542. On compliance, the department shall issue a government entity compliance sticker for the vehicle. The government entity compliance sticker shall be placed on the vehicle as prescribed by rule adopted by the department.\n\nB. If a vehicle described in subsection A of this section does not have a current government entity compliance sticker, a law enforcement officer shall issue a citation to the operator of the vehicle for a violation of this section. On receipt of the abstract of conviction for a violation of this section, the department of transportation shall immediately suspend the privilege to operate the vehicle on the highways of this state until that vehicle complies with section 49-542.","path":["Title 49 The Environment"],"source_url":"https://www.azleg.gov/ars/49/00557.htm","current_through":"2026-09-04","vintage":"2026-08-09","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:49:56Z","sha256":"67e5d62568f5ac2750180c3f7d97a8d9ea39c4f495a50edbb8381a88a07ebea5","source_id":"us-az","stale":true,"prev":"us-az/a.r.s.-49-556","next":"us-az/a.r.s.-49-558"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
