{"data":{"id":"us-ca/edc-69612.5","jurisdiction":"us-ca","citation":"EDC § 69612.5","heading":"","body":"For purposes of this article, the following terms have the following definitions:\n(a) “Eligible institution” means a postsecondary institution that is determined by the Student Aid Commission to meet both of the following requirements:\n(1) The institution is eligible to participate in state and federal financial aid programs.\n(2) The institution maintains a program of professional preparation that has been approved by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.\n(b) “Eligible school” means a school that meets any of the following criteria:\n(1) It serves a large population of pupils from low-income families, as designated by the Superintendent of Public Instruction.\n(2) The institution has 20 percent or more teachers holding emergency-type permits including, but not limited to, any of the following:\n(A) Provisional internships.\n(B) Short-term staff permits.\n(C) Credential waivers.\n(D) Substitute permits.\n(3) It is a school that is ranked in the lowest two deciles on the Academic Performance Index.\n(4) It is a school that serves a rural area.","path":["Education Code - EDC","TITLE 3.
