If a vacancy exists, the secretary shall, consistent with the membership requirements described in subdivisions (a) and (b) of Section 56702, appoint a replacement member of the committee for the duration of the term. The secretary may remove a committee member at any time.\n(b) A member of the committee shall not receive a salary but may be reimbursed by the department for attendance at meetings and other committee activities authorized by the committee and approved by the secretary.","path":["Food and Agricultural Code - FAC","DIVISION 20.
