{"data":{"id":"us-ca/gov-7920.500","jurisdiction":"us-ca","citation":"GOV § 7920.500","heading":"","body":"For purposes of Article 3 (commencing with Section 7928.200) of Chapter 14 of Part 5, “elected or appointed official” includes, but is not limited to, all of the following:\n(a) A state constitutional officer.\n(b) A Member of the Legislature.\n(c) An active or retired judge, court commissioner, or judge of the State Bar Court.\n(d) A district attorney.\n(e) A public defender.\n(f) A member of a city council.\n(g) A member of a board of supervisors.\n(h) An appointee of the Governor.\n(i) An appointee of the Legislature.\n(j) A mayor.\n(k) A city attorney.\n(l) A police chief or sheriff.\n(m) A public safety official.\n(n) A state administrative law judge.\n(o) An active or retired federal judge or federal defender.\n(p) A member of the United States Congress or appointee of the President of the United States.\n(q) An active or retired judge of a federally recognized Indian tribe.\n(r) An appointee of a court to serve as children’s counsel in a family or dependency proceeding.","path":["Government Code - GOV","TITLE 1.
