{"data":{"id":"us-ca/veh-12807","jurisdiction":"us-ca","citation":"VEH § 12807","heading":"","body":"The department shall not issue or renew a driver’s license to any person:\n(a) When a license previously issued to the person under this code has been suspended until the expiration of the period of the suspension, unless cause for suspension has been removed.\n(b) When a license previously issued to the person under this code has been revoked until the expiration of one year after the date of the revocation, except where a different period of revocation is prescribed by this code, or unless the cause for revocation has been removed.\n(c) When the department has received a notice pursuant to former Section 40509 or former Section 40509.5, unless the department has received a certificate as provided in those sections.\n(d) This section shall remain in effect only until January 1, 2027, and as of that date is repealed.","path":["Vehicle Code - VEH","DIVISION 6.
