Every person convicted of a misdemeanor for a violation of any of the provisions of this division shall be punished as follows:\n(a) For a first violation, by a fine of not less than one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by imprisonment for not more than six months, or by both fine and imprisonment.\n(b) For a second or subsequent violation, by a fine of not less than two thousand dollars ($2,000) or by imprisonment for not more than six months, or by both fine and imprisonment.","path":["Vehicle Code - VEH","DIVISION 14.
