{"data":{"id":"us-ca/wic-16172","jurisdiction":"us-ca","citation":"WIC § 16172","heading":"","body":"As used in this chapter, the following definitions apply, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:\n(a) “Adoption assistance state” means the state that is signatory to an adoption assistance agreement in a particular case.\n(b) “Residence state” means the state where the child is living.\n(c) “State” means a state of the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, or a territory or possession of or administered by the United States.","path":["Welfare and Institutions Code - WIC","DIVISION 9.
