{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-1-2-506","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 1-2-506","heading":"Prohibitions.","body":"(1) A person who provides the services described in section 1-2-505 shall not:\n\n(a) Seek to influence an applicant's political preference or party registration;\n\n(b) Display any political preference or party allegiance;\n\n(c) Make any statement to an applicant or take any action, the purpose or effect of which is to discourage the applicant from registering to vote;\n\n(d) Make any statement to an applicant or take any action, the purpose or effect of which is to lead the applicant to believe that a decision to register or not to register has any bearing on the availability of services or benefits.\n\n(2) A person who provides the services described in section 1-2-505 shall ensure that the identity of the voter registration agency through which any particular voter is registered is not disclosed to the public.\n\n(3) No information relating to a declination to register to vote made in connection with an application completed at a voter registration agency may be used for any purpose other than voter registration.","path":["Title 1 - ELECTIONS","Article 2 - Qualifications and Registration of Electors","Part 5 - MAIL REGISTRATION AND REGISTRATION AT VOTER REGISTRATION AGENCIES"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-01.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"66d465e82e37678b53449a76b3fe8536f955a5c224e790616687b869346ea2db","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-1-2-505","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-1-2-507"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
