{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-12-285-201","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 12-285-201","heading":"Additional board authority - rules.","body":"(1) In addition to all other powers and duties given to the board by law, the board may:\n\n(a) Certify physical therapist assistants to practice;\n\n(b) Evaluate the qualifications of applicants for certification, issue and renew the certifications authorized under this part 2, and take the disciplinary actions authorized under this part 2 and section 12-20-404;\n\n(c) Conduct hearings in accordance with section 12-20-403 upon charges for discipline of a certified physical therapist assistant and cause the prosecution and enjoinder, in accordance with section 12-20-406, of all persons violating this part 2;\n\n(d) Establish fines under section 12-285-129.\n\n(2) The board may promulgate rules pursuant to section 12-20-204 to implement, administer, and enforce this part 2.\n\n(3) The authority granted to the board by this part 2 does not authorize the board to arbitrate or adjudicate fee disputes between physical therapist assistants or between a physical therapist assistant and another party.","path":["Title 12 - PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS","Article 285 - Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants","Part 2 - PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANTS"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-12.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"ebb392ac6568a0ef48ae2366b3d98bf0b9663085e20a5d189d5795aadb893d58","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-12-285-132","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-12-285-202"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
