{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-13-62-103","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 13-62-103","heading":"Applicability.","body":"(1) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (2) of this section, this article applies to a foreign-country judgment to the extent that the judgment:\n\n(a) Grants or denies recovery of a sum of money; and\n\n(b) Under the law of the foreign country where rendered, is final, conclusive, and enforceable.\n\n(2) This article does not apply to a foreign-country judgment, even if the judgment grants or denies recovery of a sum of money, to the extent that the judgment is:\n\n(a) A judgment for taxes;\n\n(b) A fine or other penalty; or\n\n(c) A judgment for divorce, support, or maintenance, or other judgment rendered in connection with domestic relations.\n\n(3) A party seeking recognition of a foreign-country judgment has the burden of establishing that this article applies to the foreign-country judgment.","path":["Title 13 - COURTS AND COURT PROCEDURE","Article 62 - Uniform Foreign-country Money Judgments Recognition Act"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-13.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"be98dc09feb84779aa20ee677185e85154c38f3764588db134a353fd9911177b","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-13-62-102","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-13-62-104"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
