The petition must specify the risk factors for abduction, including the relevant factors described in section 14-13.5-107. Subject to section 14-13-209, if reasonably ascertainable, the petition must contain:\n\n(a) The name, date of birth, and gender of the child;\n\n(b) The customary address and current physical location of the child;\n\n(c) The identity, customary address, and current physical location of the respondent;\n\n(d) A statement of whether a prior action to prevent abduction, domestic violence, or domestic abuse has been filed by a party or other individual or entity having custody of the child, and the date, location, and disposition of the action;\n\n(e) A statement of whether a party to the proceeding has been arrested for a crime related to domestic violence, stalking, or child abuse or neglect and the date, location, and disposition of the case; and\n\n(f) Any other information required to be submitted to the court for a child-custody determination under section 14-13-209.","path":["Title 14 - DOMESTIC MATTERS","Article 13.5 - Uniform Child Abduction Prevention Act"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-14.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"0114dadfbde5827e1c40a9a0a2fb048993707fbbf1eeaa269a5d4a84ec60ee62","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-14-13.5-105","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-14-13.5-107"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
