{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-15-1.2-306","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 15-1.2-306","heading":"Unitrust rate.","body":"(1) Except as otherwise provided in section 15-1.2-309 (2)(a), a unitrust rate may be:\n\n(a) A fixed unitrust rate; or\n\n(b) A unitrust rate that is determined for each period using:\n\n(I) A market index or other published data; or\n\n(II) A mathematical blend of market indices or other published data over a stated number of preceding periods.\n\n(2) Except as otherwise provided in section 15-1.2-309 (2)(a), a unitrust policy may provide:\n\n(a) A limit on how high the unitrust rate determined under subsection (1)(b) of this section may rise;\n\n(b) A limit on how low the unitrust rate determined under subsection (1)(b) of this section may fall;\n\n(c) A limit on how much the unitrust rate determined under subsection (1)(b) of this section may increase over the unitrust rate for the preceding period or a mathematical blend of unitrust rates over a stated number of preceding periods;\n\n(d) A limit on how much the unitrust rate determined under subsection (1)(b) of this section may decrease below the unitrust rate for the preceding period or a mathematical blend of unitrust rates over a stated number of preceding periods; or\n\n(e) A mathematical blend of any of the unitrust rates determined under subsection (1)(b) of this section and subsections (2)(a) through (2)(d) of this section.","path":["Title 15 - PROBATE, TRUSTS, AND FIDUCIARIES","Article 1.2 - Uniform Fiduciary Income and Principal Act","Part 3 - UNITRUST"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-15.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"3241ef60db3c64b7da0c9f8484c76320ec2269a2bce903869ef982f81046f427","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-15-1.2-305","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-15-1.2-307"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
