{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-15-18-110","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 15-18-110","heading":"Liability.","body":"(1) With respect to any declaration that appears on its face to have been executed in accordance with the requirements of this article:\n\n(a) Any physician or advanced practice registered nurse may act in compliance with such declaration in the absence of actual notice of revocation, fraud, misrepresentation, or improper execution;\n\n(b) A physician who signs a certificate withholding or withdrawing life-sustaining procedures in compliance with a declaration shall not be subject to civil liability, criminal penalty, or licensing sanctions therefor;\n\n(c) A hospital or person acting under the direction of a physician and participating in the withholding or withdrawal of life-sustaining procedures in compliance with a declaration shall not be subject to civil liability, criminal penalty, or licensing sanctions therefor; and\n\n(d) An advanced practice registered nurse who withholds or withdraws life-sustaining procedures in compliance with a declaration shall not be subject to civil liability, criminal penalty, or licensing sanctions therefor.","path":["Title 15 - PROBATE, TRUSTS, AND FIDUCIARIES","Article 18 - Colorado Medical Treatment Decision Act"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-15.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"7ac5dffc15dbcc6d62c173b862ab9f6fe32d5edc1138e8085c232e1067651294","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-15-18-109","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-15-18-111"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
