{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-18-4-503","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 18-4-503","heading":"Second degree criminal trespass.","body":"(1) A person commits the crime of second degree criminal trespass if such person:\n\n(a) Unlawfully enters or remains in or upon the premises of another which are enclosed in a manner designed to exclude intruders or are fenced; or\n\n(b) Knowingly and unlawfully enters or remains in or upon the common areas of a hotel, motel, condominium, or apartment building; or\n\n(c) Knowingly and unlawfully enters or remains in a motor vehicle of another.\n\n(2) (a) Second degree criminal trespass in violation of subsection (1)(a) or (1)(b) of this section is a petty offense, but it is a class 5 felony if the person trespasses on premises so classified as agricultural land with the intent to commit a felony thereon.\n\n(b) Second degree criminal trespass in violation of subsection (1)(c) of this section is a class 2 misdemeanor.\n\n(3) Repealed.","path":["Title 18 - CRIMINAL CODE","Article 4 - Offenses Against Property","Part 5 - TRESPASS, TAMPERING, AND CRIMINAL MISCHIEF"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-18.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"f3a691f9ec7d44da642f421f31f91a2967008240f10223da60dc459bb49166c6","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-18-4-502","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-18-4-504"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
