{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-19-5.5-303","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 19-5.5-303","heading":"General adoption information.","body":"(1) Within a reasonable time before a child placement agency places a child for adoption with a prospective adoptive parent, the child placement agency must provide or cause to be provided to the prospective adoptive parent general adoption information. The information must address:\n\n(a) Possible physical, mental, emotional, and behavioral issues concerning:\n\n(I) Identity, loss, and trauma that a child may experience before, during, or after adoption; and\n\n(II) A child leaving familiar ties and surroundings;\n\n(b) The effect that the access to resources, including health insurance, may have on the ability of an adoptive parent to meet the needs of a child;\n\n(c) Causes of disruption of an adoptive placement or dissolution of an adoption and resources available to help avoid disruption or dissolution; and\n\n(d) Prohibitions under sections 19-5.5-203 and 19-5.5-205.","path":["Title 19 - CHILDREN'S CODE","Article 5.5 - Uniform Unregulated Child Custody Transfer Act","Part 3 - INFORMATION AND GUIDANCE"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-19.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"4fb80529413e69220cb0f346783d14304466e1c4c117545499bea775bae272d5","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-19-5.5-302","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-19-5.5-304"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
