{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-22-30.5-107.3","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 22-30.5-107.3","heading":"Optional charter school application timeline for rural school districts.","body":"(1) A school district designated as rural or small rural by the department may either accept charter applications pursuant to section 22-30.5-107 or, upon notice to the department and the public through posting on the school district's website, the school district may accept charter applications pursuant to section 22-30.5-107 with the following modifications:\n\n(a) The time for submission of a charter application is from June 1 through August 1, or the first weekday after August 1, as long as the school district has a method to receive physical or electronic applications during that time;\n\n(b) If applicable, the school district shall notify applicants that an application is incomplete no later than August 15 or the first weekday after August 15;\n\n(c) Review by the school district accountability committee, as described in section 22-30.5-107 (1.5), is permitted but not required;\n\n(d) The local school board shall rule by resolution on the application no later than October 15 or the first weekday after October 15; and\n\n(e) The state board shall hear appeals pursuant to section 22-30.5-108 (3)(a) within thirty days after the date a notice of appeal is filed.","path":["Title 22 - EDUCATION","Article 30.5 - Charter Schools","Part 1 - CHARTER SCHOOLS ACT"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-22.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"663c6b4c8fd83dad3a301a337264cb1c9c418b65e9669e23e56d3e110990b02f","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-22-30.5-107","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-22-30.5-107.5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
