{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-22-82.7-102","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 22-82.7-102","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this article 82.7, unless the context otherwise requires:\n\n(1) \"Department\" means the department of education created and existing pursuant to section 24-1-115, C.R.S.\n\n(1.5) \"Facility school\" means an approved facility school as defined in section 22-2-402 (1).\n\n(2) Repealed.\n\n(3) \"Program\" means the start smart nutrition program created in section 22-82.7-103.\n\n(4) \"School breakfast program\" means the federal school breakfast program created in 42 U.S.C. sec. 1773.\n\n(5) \"School food authority\" means:\n\n(a) A school district or the state charter school institute;\n\n(a.3) A charter school collaborative formed pursuant to section 22-30.5-603;\n\n(a.5) A board of cooperative services created pursuant to article 5 of this title that elects to operate as a school food authority pursuant to section 22-5-120; or\n\n(b) A district charter school or an institute charter school that:\n\n(I) The commissioner of education or his or her designee provisionally authorizes as a school food authority pursuant to section 22-32-120 (6); or\n\n(II) The department of education authorizes as a school food authority pursuant to section 22-32-120 (5).","path":["Title 22 - EDUCATION","Article 82.7 - Start Smart Nutrition Program"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-22.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"11b2434927f5646e439fb68cabaa75a3ecb78e9fb433cbad11b9ea57a807ff0b","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-22-82.7-101","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-22-82.7-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
