{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-23-21-204","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 23-21-204","heading":"Duties of the school of medicine.","body":"(1) It is the duty of the school of medicine, with the advice of the committee, to:\n\n(a) Develop standards for determining eligibility for care and treatment under this part 2;\n\n(b) Assist in the development and expansion of programs for the care and treatment of persons suffering from sickle-cell anemia, including home care and medical procedures designed to provide maximum control over the disease;\n\n(c) Extend financial assistance to persons suffering from sickle-cell anemia to obtain efficacious agents of control for use in hospital and medical facilities and in the home;\n\n(d) Institute and carry on educational programs for the detection of sickle-cell anemia in the community and for the counseling of individuals and families;\n\n(e) Conduct educational programs for physicians, hospitals, county and district public health agencies, and the public concerning the methods of care and treatment for persons suffering from the disease;\n\n(f) Establish research programs to promote scientific inquiry into the causes and the possible cure or alleviation of the suffering of victims of sickle-cell anemia.","path":["Title 23 - POSTSECONDARY EDUCATION","Article 21 - University of Colorado - University Hospital - Centers","Part 2 - SICKLE-CELL ANEMIA TREATMENT AND RESEARCH CENTER"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-23.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"c33d0136901d6768b285abd13ae5f7530b7da06d3550c7a71f5ccf810a8edd0e","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-23-21-203","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-23-21-301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
