{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-23-31-1002","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 23-31-1002","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this part 10, unless the context otherwise requires:\n\n(1) \"Council\" means the state veterinary education loan repayment council created in section 23-31-1003.\n\n(1.5) \"Fund\" means the veterinary education loan repayment fund created in section 23-31-1010 (1)(a).\n\n(2) \"Licensed veterinarian\" has the same meaning as set forth in section 12-315-104 (11).\n\n(3) \"Program\" means the state veterinary education loan repayment program created in section 23-31-1004.\n\n(4) \"Rural\" means:\n\n(a) A county with a population of fewer than thirty thousand; or\n\n(b) A municipality with a population of fewer than twenty thousand if the municipality is not contiguous to a municipality with a population of twenty thousand or more.\n\n(5) \"Veterinarian\" has the same meaning as set forth in section 12-315-104 (18).\n\n(6) \"Veterinary shortage area\" means a rural area that the council determines has a shortage of veterinarians practicing in the area.","path":["Title 23 - POSTSECONDARY EDUCATION","Article 31 - Colorado State University","Part 10 - VETERINARY EDUCATION LOAN REPAYMENT PROGRAM"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-23.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"e5f07c35e1c08102c1e11645c4784a505f9ba46b0efed2d5dc564a552c7672fa","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-23-31-1001","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-23-31-1003"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
