{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-24-32-803","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 24-32-803","heading":"Duties of the office.","body":"(1) The office shall coordinate the activities of the various divisions within the department of local affairs for the purpose of:\n\n(a) Cooperating with and providing technical assistance to local officials for the orderly development of rural Colorado;\n\n(b) Encouraging and, when requested, assisting local governments to develop mutual and cooperative solutions to rural community development;\n\n(c) Studying the legal provisions that affect rural development and recommending to the governor and the general assembly such changes and provisions as may be necessary to encourage rural development;\n\n(d) Serving as a clearinghouse for rural development information, including state and federal programs designed for rural development;\n\n(e) Carrying out studies and continuous analyses of rural development in the state with particular emphasis on its effect on population dispersion and economic opportunity;\n\n(f) Encouraging and assisting, when requested, local governments to develop mutual and cooperative solutions to rural community development;\n\n(g) Contracting with the federal government or any agency or instrumentality thereof and receiving any grants or moneys therefrom for purposes of rural development in Colorado.","path":["Title 24 - GOVERNMENT - STATE","Article 32 - Department of Local Affairs","Part 8 - OFFICE OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-24.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"48b17550930bf29eeac3ff5aa62885a973caa552b40e3dba2f19417affd3086b","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-24-32-802","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-24-32-804"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
