{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-24-33.5-1802","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 24-33.5-1802","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this part 18, unless the context otherwise requires:\n\n(1) \"Center\" means the school safety resource center created in the office pursuant to section 24-33.5-1803.\n\n(2) \"Director\" means the director of the center.\n\n(3) \"First responder\" means an individual who responds in a professional capacity to an emergency that occurs in a school building, including, but not limited to, peace officers, firefighters, emergency medical service providers, school administrators, and teachers.\n\n(4) \"Office\" means the office of school safety created in section 24-33.5-2702.\n\n(5) \"School\" means an institution at which instruction is provided by instructors to students in one or more buildings on a campus. \"School\" includes a school serving any of grades preschool through twelve and an institution of higher education.","path":["Title 24 - GOVERNMENT - STATE","Article 33.5 - Public Safety","Part 18 - SCHOOL SAFETY RESOURCE CENTER"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-24.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"a979138395122e1c7cbd372fbc20cdb72f2a6513eb03e3c973f45c58271ef449","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-24-33.5-1801","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-24-33.5-1803"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
