{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-24-60-2204","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 24-60-2204","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in sections 24-60-2205 to 24-60-2212, unless the context otherwise requires:\n\n(1) \"Department\" means the department of public health and environment.\n\n(2) \"Facility\" means a low-level radioactive waste facility capable of serving as a regional disposal or management site for low-level radioactive waste and which complies with the provisions of the \"Rocky Mountain Low-level Radioactive Waste Compact\" set forth in section 24-60-2202.\n\n(3) \"Low-level radioactive waste\" means radioactive waste, other than:\n\n(a) Waste generated as a result of defense activities of the federal government or federal research and development activities;\n\n(b) High-level waste such as irradiated reactor fuel, liquid waste from reprocessing irradiated reactor fuel, or solids into which any such liquid waste has been converted;\n\n(c) Waste material containing transuranic elements with contamination levels greater than ten nanocuries per gram of waste material;\n\n(d) Byproduct material as defined in Section 11 e.
