{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-25-15-604","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 25-15-604","heading":"Prohibition on the sale or distribution of certain consumer products that contain intentionally added PFAS chemicals - product disclosure requirements - repeal.","body":"(1) On and after January 1, 2024, a person shall not sell, offer for sale, distribute for sale, or distribute for use in the state any product in any of the following product categories if the product contains intentionally added PFAS chemicals:\n\n(a) Carpets or rugs;\n\n(b) Fabric treatments;\n\n(c) Food packaging;\n\n(d) Juvenile products; and\n\n(e) Oil and gas products.\n\n(2) Repealed.\n\n(2.5) (a) On and after January 1, 2025, a person shall not sell, offer for sale, distribute for sale, or distribute for use in the state, including in an internet listing or transaction, an outdoor apparel for severe wet conditions product that contains intentionally added PFAS chemicals unless the product is accompanied by a legible and easily discernible disclosure that includes the phrase \"made with PFAS chemicals\".\n\n(b) This subsection (2.5) is repealed, effective January 1, 2028.\n\n(3) On and after January 1, 2025, a person shall not sell, offer for sale, distribute for sale, or distribute for use the following products that contain intentionally added PFAS chemicals:\n\n(a) Cosmetics;\n\n(b) Indoor textile furnishings; and\n\n(c) Indoor upholstered furniture.\n\n(3.5) On and after January 1, 2026, a person shall not sell, offer for sale, distribute for sale, or distribute for use in the state the following products that contain intentionally added PFAS chemicals:\n\n(a) Cleaning products, except for cleaning products that are floor maintenance products used in hospital or medical settings;\n\n(b) Cookware;\n\n(c) Dental floss;\n\n(d) Menstruation products; and\n\n(e) Ski wax.\n\n(4) On and after January 1, 2027, a person shall not sell, offer for sale, distribute for sale, or distribute for use the following products that contain intentionally added PFAS chemicals:\n\n(a) Outdoor textile furnishings; and\n\n(b) Outdoor upholstered furniture.\n\n(5) On and after January 1, 2028, a person shall not sell, offer for sale, distribute for sale, or distribute for use the following products that contain intentionally added PFAS chemicals:\n\n(a) Cleaning products that are floor maintenance products used in hospital or medical settings;\n\n(b) Textile articles;\n\n(c) Outdoor apparel for severe wet conditions; and\n\n(d) Food equipment intended primarily for use in commercial settings that comes into direct contact with food.","path":["Title 25 - PUBLIC HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT","Article 15 - Hazardous Waste","Part 6 - PERFLUOROALKYL AND POLYFLUOROALKYL CHEMICALS"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-25.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"ed87da59dbc8ba05aceba8bb98bd9fd64734223d4b3f1fb147f52cf2cde60f51","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-25-15-603","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-25-15-605"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
