{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-25-48-107","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 25-48-107","heading":"Consulting provider responsibilities.","body":"(1) Before an individual who is requesting medical aid-in-dying medication may receive a prescription for the medical aid-in-dying medication, a consulting provider must:\n\n(a) Examine the individual and the individual's relevant medical records; and\n\n(b) Confirm, in writing, to the attending provider that the individual:\n\n(I) Has a terminal illness;\n\n(II) Has a prognosis of six months or less;\n\n(III) Is making an informed decision;\n\n(IV) Is mentally capable, or provide documentation that the consulting provider has referred the individual for further evaluation in accordance with section 25-48-108; and\n\n(V) Has requested a prescription for medical aid-in-dying medication.","path":["Title 25 - PUBLIC HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT","Article 48 - End-of-life Options"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-25.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"6a0de7384103109150900aa39e0ce4c1ba64b512278d845e25d364db77532230","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-25-48-106","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-25-48-108"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
