{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-25-7-1402","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 25-7-1402","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this part 14, unless the context otherwise requires:\n\n(1) \"Charter school\" means a charter school authorized pursuant to part 1 of article 30.5 of title 22, the state charter school institute established pursuant to section 22-30.5-503, or an institute charter school authorized pursuant to part 5 of article 30.5 of title 22.\n\n(2) \"Department\" means the department of public health and environment.\n\n(3) \"Disproportionately impacted community\" has the meaning set forth in section 24-4-109 (2)(b)(II).\n\n(4) \"Electric-powered school bus\" means a school bus that is powered solely by electricity.\n\n(5) \"Fossil-fuel-powered school bus\" means a school bus powered by diesel fuel or gasoline.\n\n(6) \"Fund\" means the electrifying school buses grant program cash fund created in section 25-7-1405 (1)(a).\n\n(7) \"Grant program\" means the electrifying school buses grant program created in section 25-7-1403.\n\n(8) \"Nonattainment area\" means an area of the state that the federal environmental protection agency has designated as being in nonattainment with a national ambient air standard.\n\n(9) \"Office\" means the Colorado energy office created in section 24-38.5-101.\n\n(10) \"School bus\":\n\n(a) Has the meaning set forth in section 42-4-707 (5)(b); and\n\n(b) Includes any publicly or privately financed bus, van, or similar vehicle that a school district or charter school uses as part of its fleet for the routine pick-up and drop-off of students for public or charter school or school-related programming or activities.\n\n(11) \"School district\" means a school district organized pursuant to article 30 of title 22. \"School district\" includes schools operated by tribal governments.","path":["Title 25 - PUBLIC HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT","Article 7 - Air Quality Control","Part 14 - ELECTRIFYING SCHOOL BUSES GRANT PROGRAM"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-25.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"02f5386d0343ca453eaecce64a22c5277c289661336c9511747c53e68fec1fa7","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-25-7-1401","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-25-7-1403"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
