{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-25.5-1-204.5","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 25.5-1-204.5","heading":"All-payer health claims database scholarship grant program - creation - definitions.","body":"(1) As used in this section, unless the context otherwise requires:\n\n(a) \"Advisory committee\" means the advisory committee to oversee the all-payer health claims database created pursuant to section 25.5-1-204.\n\n(b) \"Governmental entity\" means a state or local governmental entity, including a state-supported institution of higher education, but does not include the state department.\n\n(c) \"Program\" means the all-payer health claims database scholarship grant program established pursuant to this section.\n\n(2) There is created in the state department the all-payer health claims database scholarship grant program to defray the costs of nonprofit and governmental entities in accessing the all-payer health claims database to conduct research.\n\n(3) The state department shall:\n\n(a) In consultation with the advisory committee, develop a grant application under the program consistent with the rules of the executive director;\n\n(b) Accept applications for scholarship grants from any nonprofit or governmental entity needing access to the all-payer health claims database to conduct research;\n\n(c) After considering the recommendations of the advisory committee, determine which grant applications to approve and the amount of each grant; and\n\n(d) Distribute approved scholarship grants to nonprofit or governmental entities.\n\n(4) The executive director shall, following recommendations of the state department and the advisory committee, adopt rules pursuant to section 24-4-103 governing the program, including procedures, criteria, and standards for awarding scholarship grants.\n\n(5) The advisory committee shall:\n\n(a) Consult with the state department on the development of a grant application form; and\n\n(b) Review applications for scholarship grants and recommend which scholarship grants to approve and the amount of each recommended grant.","path":["Title 25.5 - HEALTH CARE POLICY AND FINANCING","Article 1 - Department of Health Care Policy and Financing","Part 2 - PROGRAMS TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-25.5.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"ebaf990a56413d8592793cf9f57f1bfa1cdbb0a69d01ff3ce8f54a4d8cae2f0f","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-25.5-1-204","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-25.5-1-204.7"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
