{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-25.5-1-601","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 25.5-1-601","heading":"Legislative declaration.","body":"(1) The general assembly hereby finds and declares that:\n\n(a) Physicians engaged in family medicine are in critically short supply in this state;\n\n(b) Because of the distribution of such physicians, many rural and urban areas of the state are underserved;\n\n(c) A significant portion of the state population is medically underserved because of indigency;\n\n(d) Family physicians provide health care to all segments of the population;\n\n(e) The provision of more competent family physicians is a public purpose of great importance; and\n\n(f) The creation of the commission on family medicine is a desirable, necessary, and cost-effective means of addressing the needs described in this subsection (1).","path":["Title 25.5 - HEALTH CARE POLICY AND FINANCING","Article 1 - Department of Health Care Policy and Financing","Part 6 - COMMISSION ON FAMILY MEDICINE"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-25.5.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"a07ccaa0247b619fd0abcb519bb6262b63cd6cbf18f2639baae98706ebe0892f","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-25.5-1-501-to-25.5-1-516","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-25.5-1-601.5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
