{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-33-14.5-108.5","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 33-14.5-108.5","heading":"Crossing roads, highways, and railroad tracks.","body":"(1) The driver of an off-highway vehicle may directly cross a roadway, including a state highway, at an at-grade crossing to continue using the off-highway vehicle on the other side.\n\n(2) A person shall not cross a highway while driving an off-highway vehicle unless the crossing is made in accordance with the following:\n\n(a) The crossing must be made at an angle of approximately ninety degrees to the direction of the highway and at a place where no obstruction prevents a quick and safe crossing.\n\n(b) The off-highway vehicle must be brought to a complete stop before crossing the shoulder or, if none, the roadway before proceeding.\n\n(c) The driver must yield the right-of-way to all motor vehicle traffic on the roadway that constitutes an immediate hazard to the crossing.\n\n(d) A driver of an off-highway vehicle must cross a divided highway at an intersection of the highway with another road or highway.\n\n(3) A person who violates this section commits a civil infraction and, upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine of one hundred dollars.","path":["Title 33 - PARKS AND WILDLIFE","Article 14.5 - Off-highway Vehicles"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-33.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"598df1f1180c40abc46ca3ccd89d28af42c130698ae76a0b4012de5a34e267e5","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-33-14.5-108","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-33-14.5-109"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
